Our future is determined largely by what we allow or create as “routine.” Shaping our future seems to be a big enough reason to choose our routines wisely, but there are several other benefits of establishing routines.
1️⃣Right now, when most things are uncertain, a routine provides comfort as an anchor of certainty. Routines help us cope with the ever changing chaos around us.
2️⃣Routines reduce the stress of decision making and save space and energy for bigger decisions.
3️⃣Routines increase our self control. Pre-deciding based on priorities takes away the power of “what I feel like” in the moment.
4️⃣Routines allow you to sleep better which increases energy and improves mood! Our body craves a sleep rhythm. Not allowing it a rhythm is robbing us of a design present to support our health.
5️⃣Routines help us keep our priorities in tact and in line with our time.
6️⃣Routines set the tone for the day. For example: A routine of gratitude is a practice that produces a perspective trained to see positivity more often.
7️⃣Routines, or habits, help us grow and become who we really want to be.
